Koinonia and Korea: Thoughts on Unification
This is a new anthology of essays by Fr. Archer Torrey that relate to North Korea and the future of the whole land. Released on the tenth anniversary of Fr. Torrey's passing, August 6, 2012, it is the first time that any of his writings have been published in both English and Korean in one volume. Anyone interested in this important work may order through us if your are outside of Korea or, if you are in Korea, directly from the publisher, Hong Sung Sa or at Christian books stores. Very important conference coming up in May.
If you can come, please do so. If you cannot come then prayer for it and for the preparation work that is going on now. Click on this image for all the details.
The theme of the Congress is "East Asia's Role in Completing the Great Commission." We believe strongly that there is a very special role for a united Korea with a unified church in fulfilling this exciting task. The unification of North and South Korea is something that God has promised will happen. When it does, the world will take notice and know that only God could have brought it about. That will, I believe, usher in a new day in world missions, perhaps eclipsing the great mission movements of the past.
The North Korea track will include workshops on the situation in NK including the underground church. We will also learn about refugee and stateless children, working inside as teams, doing business as mission and medical work.
We are expecting strong participation from all over East Asia (including the biggest countries) as well as people from around the world. A recent Call2All congress held in Hong Kong drew some 3,000 people. Come join!
This will be a great opportunity to learn, to pray, to meet people and to respond to the challenge of finishing the task. I encourage all of you, it it is at all possible, to attend. And, as I said, if you can't come, then pray. The Enemy is against what we are doing and wants to thwart it in any way he can. We need lots of prayer covering.
